Farewell Editorial| ACTA Otorhinolaryngologica Italica

Abstract

This is the last issue of Acta Otorhinolaryngologica Italica published under my editorship; I would like to take this opportunity to briefly review the activi-ties carried out in this period.Over the last 5 years, I have had the privilege and honour of leading the journal towards great goals, following in the esteemed footsteps of my predecessors, in particular Dr. Marco Piemonte, Dr. Fausto Chiesa and Professor Gaetano Paludetti. This commitment, thanks also to the cooperation and unstinting efforts of the entire scientific and editorial team, has been rewarded by the progressive growth of the impact factor, which has reached a value of 2.68, placing Acta Otorhinolaryngologica Italica among the most prestigious inter-national scientific journals in the field.
